Mallorie and Noah are this week’s “couple of the week” for the cutest of reasons. I met them last year when they came to tour the venue and booked on the spot! Instantly, you could tell their relationship was filled with laughter and a whole lot of love.
Plus, when you realize they met in middle-school, it makes their love story all the more incredible. In Mallorie’s words, “Noah and I met in middle school – we were in band together (both in percussion) and also attended the same youth group. I never thought I’d have a chance with him because he came from the “superstar family” of our town, and seemed to be so out of my league! After a few days of talking back and forth, he officially asked me to “be his girlfriend” even though I was 12 and had no idea what that really even meant! He sneakily handed me a note in the Band Hall on the morning of November 12, 2011 with a “check yes or no” box, on which I promptly circled “YES <3!” We dated throughout middle school, high school, and college, with only a year-long break during my sophomore year of high school, and got engaged on April 2, 2016! Having seen me in middle school, sweaty marching band practices, and working on staff at a summer camp, I can easily say he has seen me through both my best and worst times, and still chooses to love me to the depths of who I am.”
How sweet is that? Those check “Yes”or “No” boxes in middle schools actually worked with this couple and now they are happily married to prove it. Planning their wedding with them was a joy and by the time it got to wedding day, everything was smooth sailing. The weather was flawless until that night when a nice little thunderstorm decided to creep up on us. But hey! Doesn’t a legend state that if it rains on a wedding day, it means the couple are going to have a happy marriage? I don’t think Mr. and Mrs. Rogers need that forecast to insure their happy beginning.
At Stonebridge, we celebrate all stories, the unique, the downright crazy, and the sweet and simple. Every couple has a story and we aim to provide the perfect setting for it to be celebrated and told. Our job is fun and we love you all.
